Priorities

Cupertino has always been a City that reflects on the spirit of Silicon Valley. With cooperation, trust, and good financial sense, our community built a city always striving for excellence.

Today, Cupertino is a very different place. Our city is facing a record $15 million budget deficit, millions of dollars in cuts in city services, and an affordable housing crisis that threatens to price out seniors and young families, while City leadership has been incapable and unfit to act. Cupertino residents deserve better — It’s time to roll up our sleeves and get back to basics to Move Cupertino Forward again. Claudio would be the only businessman on the Council that could ensure the City finds innovative ways to ensure the City is profitable and breach the gap between residents and Council. Claudio is the only candidate that has brought millions of dollars this past decade through TOT taxes and continues to generate revenues for Cupertino by representing our City worldwide and by bringing International groups to stay in Cupertino and also never sued the City. Claudio has only 1 affiliation: Cupertino residents.

Meet Claudio

Hi,

I am Claudio Bono; I am excited to have the opportunity to run as Cupertino City Council.

I came to Cupertino in 2014 as Hotel General Manager for our very first Hotel built in Cupertino: The Cupertino Hotel (known as The Cupertino Inn). It is my belief that public service is a responsibility for the well-being of our community. I became a board member of the Cupertino Chamber of commerce in 2014 to get to know our city and its residents. Over the years, I was proud to be part of many cultural and civic events such as The Star awards to name a few and do absolutely everything possible to help my community. I was recognized and honored to be a Crest Award recipient in 2017.

I am also the Vice President for the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce as well as a board member of the Rotary Club of Silicon Valley. I am running as a concerned Cupertino resident.
